Big, spacious homes top March’s list for most expensive homes sold in the Springfield area

[ad_1]

Sangamon County has seen a steady purchase rate of houses over the past month, despite the volume of existing home sales dropping 3.3% from February 2023 to February 2024, according to the National Association of Realtors. Mortgage rates are expected to come down throughout this year, and inventory and home sales are likely to increase.

If you’re looking to purchase a house, look inside the city for savings and historic architecture.

The National Association of Realtors also reported Springfield to be the seventh-least expensive metropolitan housing market in early 2023, with a median home price of $148,000, making the city one of the most affordable home-buying markets.
