Sam and Ken are a newlywed couple from Marlborough, Massachusetts, who appeared on the Home Made Nation show, Tiny House Nation.

They wanted a tiny home to “simplify” their lifestyle and leave more money for vacations.

It would need to have room for the equipment they used in their hobbies, and space for their cat, Monkey.

Sam and Ken purchased a small plot in a residential Massachusetts neighborhood on which the Home Made Nation crew built a 398-square-foot home.

Outside, they gave the home a quaint, New England cottage aesthetic.

However, the interior was modern with an airy feel and high-end fixtures.

In the loft, they built a special place for their favorite hobby -stargazing.

Not only is there room for their telescope and a cozy place to sit, but there is also a dedicated hexagonal skylight.

“I love it up here,” said Sam. “This is my favorite room. We have an observatory in our tiny home!”

The stargazing loft also had room for a home office space and their musical instruments.

In the bedroom, the design utilized pull-out storage and aesthetically pleasing shelves for Sam’s many pairs of heels.

The kitchen featured full-sized appliances and butcher block counters.

Meanwhile, the bathroom was luxurious with a curio cabinet, walk-in shower, and a big sink.

But perhaps the best thing of all about the home was that it meant Sam and Ken could live without a mortgage or rent to worry about.

“With the tiny house, there are just so many opportunities that are open to us now,” said Sam.

“Not only can we go canoeing, kayaking, look at the stars whenever we want, but we’re gonna be able to have that financial freedom.”

Ken agreed: “I’d recommend a tiny house to anybody!”

He added: “At first, it might be a struggle, it might be a lot to be with someone so much, but it is awesome.”
